That laptop or cell phone is probably a crucial part of their daily life. Make restrictions and watch them squirm. This tends to achieve better results than hitting them. Plus, you don't want your children to listen to you out of fear. It should be a love and respect thing. The more you communicate with your kids, the less you'll have to worry.
